Cozumel, Mexico

My Day in Cozumel, Mexico

We were on the Royal Caribbean cruise Grandeur of the Seas, and our stop in Cozumel, Mexico, was the highlight of the trip! As we walked off the ship and into the port, we were immediately greeted by the beauty of Cozumel. Everywhere we looked, there were perfect photo ops, from the vibrant Cozumel signs to the sparkling blue waters in the background. It was just one of those moments where you can’t help but smile because everything looks so picturesque!

We decided to take a van to explore some of what Cozumel had to offer. We have been to Cozumel on cruises multiple times before, so we decided to keep this as a chill day and not so much sightseeing. After checking out a few shops, our first stop was Tequilera Los Tres Toños. Let me tell you, this place was so nice!! We were treated to a crazy amount of tequila tastings – and every single one tasted amazing. But my absolute favorites were the desert-flavored ones, especially the chocolate and coffee ones. They were so unique! However, you don’t really pay for the tequila tasting, so they push you a lot to buy something. And they won’t stop at you getting one bottle…they just keep pushing. But besides this, the place was pretty cool! The outside area was stunning too, with fountains, cacti, and a beautiful garden setting that just made the whole experience even better. It was such a cool and chill place to stop and enjoy some local flavors.

Next, we made a stop on the side of the road to grab some fresh coconuts! This was nice little stop because we were near a secluded beach. I couldn’t resist walking down to the water for a bit before heading back to the van. The beach was so peaceful, and the water was crystal-clear. It felt like a hidden paradise because I was the only person there.

Our next stop was Playa Punta Morena, and wow, what a beautiful little beach. Tis was a nice place to relax, with the cutest pink beach chairs lined up along the shore. This definitely made for some aesthetic pictures. We grabbed some margaritas, waded into the warm water, and just soaked up the sun. I even found a bunch of cute seashells to take home as souvenirs. While we were hanging out, a guy came by and serenaded us with his guitar – it was such a sweet and memorable moment! We also found a couple of little shops right by the beach, so we popped in to do a bit of browsing before heading back to the port.

Cozumel was such a nice place to visit! It’s one of those places where you just feel at peace, surrounded by beautiful nature and friendly people.
