W Goa: A Luxury Escape That We Never Wanted to Leave
From the moment we arrived at W Goa, it felt like we were stepping into a dream. We got there at night, and even in the darkness, we could tell this place was going to be amazing. The lobby was stunning—modern, open, and beautifully designed. They welcomed us with refreshing drinks, which were honestly so good that I got an extra one, and check-in was quick and easy. It already felt like we were at home, but way fancier.
The Room: Spacious, Modern, and That Bathroom!
Our room was beautiful—spacious, sleek, and designed with a perfect mix of modern luxury and relaxed beach vibes. We even had a private balcony, but since we arrived so late, we couldn’t see much outside. After dinner, we crashed for the night, but when we woke up in the morning, we were shocked by the view. The room overlooked lush greenery, vibrant tropical flowers, and we could even see people climbing trees to pick fresh coconuts. This view was even better than what i expected.
But let’s talk about the bathroom—I swear it was bigger than the bedroom. It felt like its own little spa, with a massive vanity, a deep soaking tub, and an incredible rainfall shower. I don’t usually get excited about bathrooms (I mean who would? This is a weird topic lol), but this one was next level.
The Best Hotel Breakfast. Ever.
I’ve always loved hotel breakfasts in India, but W Goa completely outdid itself. This was hands-down the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The buffet was huge, with separate sections for Indian, Asian, and Western cuisines.
There was an entire section just for pastries (dangerous, I kept going back for more), a counter where someone was cutting fresh fruit non-stop, a soup station where they’d make fresh lemon coriander soup with any toppings you wanted, and a dosa and vada station. There was even a live omelet station, and this is where the real magic happened.
One of the waiters told me I had to try their omelet, and even though I was already stuffed, I gave in. And I am so happy I did because that omelet will live in my dreams forever. It was a perfectly cooked omelet, topped with a flavorful chicken which was almost like curry chicken, and served with Goa’s famous bread, poi. It was honestly one of the best things I ate on this trip, and after that, I ordered it every single morning. I tried poi at dinner the night before and loved it, but pairing it with this omelet was even better. Add in their fresh watermelon juice, and I could’ve stayed at breakfast all day. I really did stay as long as I could though, I just kept getting back up for more!
Exploring the Resort: A Massive, Tropical Paradise
After stuffing our faces, we took a golf cart tour of the property (yes, it’s that big). W Goa isn’t just a hotel—it’s more like a huge private oasis. Aside from their regular rooms, they have private villas, giving guests plenty of options depending on the kind of stay they’re looking for.
One of the highlights was the scenic lookout point on the property. We got a 360-degree view of the coastline, with the beach stretching as far as the eye could see. The sea breeze was strong, and for a moment, it felt like time slowed down. I could’ve stayed up there for hours, it was so peaceful. If they had yoga classes up there, it would truly be the best thing ever. I’d be the first one there!
Sunset Drinks & Local Surprises
After our little tour, we headed back to the lobby bar to relax. The bartender was amazing—not just in making drinks, but in conversation too. He was so fun to talk to, and after chatting for a bit, he told us we had to try Goa’s local liquor, cashew feni. He even gave us free shots just because he wanted us to experience it! It was so good—strong, but smooth with a unique flavor I’d never tasted before.
The lobby itself was the perfect place to hang out. It was open-air, with plush couches, pool tables, and tons of fans to keep the Goa humidity from making us melt. Watching the sunset from the lobby was one of my favorite moments—calm, peaceful, and the perfect way to transition from a relaxing day into a fun night out at Baga Beach
Final Thoughts: Should You Stay at W Goa?
Honestly, we loved W Goa so much that we barely wanted to leave the hotel. Everything—from the rooms to the food to the incredible service—was beyond expectations. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re on a dream vacation, even if you’re just there for a few days.
If you’re visiting Goa, do yourself a favor and stay here. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or just a luxurious escape, (or just want to try the amazing food that I’m talking about) W Goa is the place to be. I know for sure that I’ll be back!
