Pine Villa, Bali, Indonesia

During our trip to Bali, we had the pleasure of staying at Pine Villa in Canggu, and it was, without a doubt, the best Airbnb experience we've ever had. Located just a short walk from Batu Bolong Beach—less than five minutes to be exact—the villa offered more than just beauty, it was also located so conveniently. Surrounded by all types of shops and restaurants right on the main road, the villa's massive wooden doors provided a serene escape from the bustling street, creating a perfect blend of accessibility and tranquility.

Upon entering the property, we were immediately captivated by its beauty. The expansive private pool, complete with a comfortable lounge area, invited us to relax and unwind. A charming gazebo, adorned with a giant Buddha statue and plush seating, became one of our favorite spots to hang out (and take pictures). Additionally, the villa featured a dedicated religious area where the staff performed their daily prayers, allowing us a glimpse into the rich cultural traditions of Bali. Witnessing the daily offerings placed outside nearly every property was a heartwarming testament to the community's collective devotion.

The villa itself is a spacious three-story building boasting seven bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. Some of these bathrooms were open-air, offering a unique and refreshing experience that we had never encountered before. The bathrooms were stocked with some of the most pleasantly fragrant shampoos and conditioners we've encountered as well, making my travel sized items stay in their bag the entire trip. Each room also had huge closets- mine was a closet that could have been made into an extra room! There was so much space to put all of my items, and had a vanity area inside where I did my hair and makeup. The top floor housed a large single bedroom, while the second floor featured an outdoor seating area and a barbecue setup available for guest use. Every corner of the villa was meticulously designed, exuding a photogenic charm that we couldn't get enough of. Downstairs, all of the exterior walls were made entirely of glass! We had the most beautiful view of our outdoor area. From the modern kitchen to the inviting outdoor spaces and cozy bedrooms, the villa provided ample space for our entire family to feel comfortable and at home.

One of the standout aspects of our stay was the array of personalized experiences offered by the villa. We opted for daily breakfast service, and the in-house chef did not disappoint. Each morning, the chef prepared a variety of dishes right before us, catering to our individual preferences. Whether it was eggs, noodles, or a chicken dish, every meal was crafted with care and precision. Accompanying our main courses were fresh fruit platters and fresh juices, all served with warm smiles from the staff. Their dedication was evident when, on our departure day, the chef arrived at 4 a.m. to prepare our final breakfast before we left at 6 a.m. Such commitment to guest satisfaction was truly remarkable and something I will forever remember.

A particular favorite among our group was the falafel bowl—a dish so delectable that even me, a person who is not very fond of falafels, absolutely fell in love with them. I had this meal multiple mornings for breakfast!

Beyond culinary delights, the villa staff arranged in-house massages and facials for us—a much-needed indulgence after our hike up Mount Batur. Although we couldn't squeeze in a private yoga session, it's worth noting that the villa offers this service, along with the capability of hosting private events.

On top of all of the extras that the villa provides, the staff maintains the property and keeps it extremely clean. They cleaned our rooms and bathrooms every day and left the place spotless. They also provide laundry services, which is good to note for those who have extended stays.

From the moment we arrived, greeted with fresh watermelon juice, to the assistance with our luggage, the villa staff exhibited unparalleled hospitality. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel like part of their family. I swear one of the main reasons I did not want to leave Bali was because of the people we met! With 24-hour security and surveillance cameras around the property, we felt safe and well-cared for throughout our stay. The staff even left fresh fruit and snacks for us to enjoy. It was here that I tried mangosteen for the first time—I loved it!
